How We Work

Studio portraits

We have fully portable on-location studios including backgrounds and lighting. The studio setup is individually tailored to suit your event and the surroundings. We can work indoors or outdoors, with or without backgrounds. If possible we like to visit the venue in advance in order to be fully prepared for the day.

We work with each couple, individual or group to get a good selection of shots. Because all the photographers are fulltime professionals, we have tips and tricks to relax people to achieve the best possible pictures.

Free portrait session, and no obligation to buy

Your guests are free to have their pictures taken on the night, and can come back for more sessions if they want. We don't charge on the night and there's never any obligation to buy prints.

Online proofing

After all the images are reviewed by our photographers (and any embarrasing ones taken out!) they are displayed on our website from where they can be viewed and emailed around friends. The website is also where guests can purchase prints, products or digtial files (jpgs) of the pictures. Don't worry that your guests might forget about their photos: we email all the people we photograph as soon as they're online.

Efficient workflow

We have written our own software to improve efficiency both at the ball (reducing queues) and afterwards (ensuring the pictures are available as fast as possible). We aim to have all the pictures on the website within 12 - 24 hours of the end of the ball.

Prints and products

Guests can buy their pictures in a variety of formats, such as:

• traditional prints at sizes from 7x5" to 30x20" (larger on request) and finishes include gloss, matt, metallic, acrylic, canvas
• digital files (jpgs)
• t-shirts, jigsaws etc
• photo books - a bespoke coffee table book featuring all the pictures of the guests and roaming ones from around the ball

Print prices

We competitively price our prints and products and routinely offer special offers such as 'BOGOFs' or Buy two, get one free etc. Prices start at £5.45 and the full price list is available in the galleries with the pictures.

Promotional pictures

If desired, we can arrange for digital copies of some or all of the images taken on the night to be sent to the organiser. Previous clients have used these to publicise future events, in student newspapers and corporate publications. Please contact us to discuss the requirements for your event.

Archiving & future ordering

In order to keep our ordering system clear and easily navigable, we cannot keep all the photographs we take online indefinitely. The photographs from your event will be available to order from this website for at least one month, usually for longer depending on demand. After this time customers can still order by contacting us with their details and we will make their photos available for viewing and purchase. All the photographs we take are stored in our archive using RAID technology, which means they are secure and available for purchase anytime in the future.
